For many years Jayne and Jon dreamt about hosting their own holiday business offering everything that made it their perfect place to stay. They were fortunate to have had the experience of living and working abroad, taking the opportunity to travel to some wonderful stays around the world.

Through these experiences, their dream grew into a determination to make it happen. Following their return to the UK they fell upon Pitch Farm, falling in love with the house and it’s beautiful Cherry Orchard. They hope you have the same overwhelming sense of ease and wonder that they did the first time they just sat and breathed in the essence of what has become Orchard Escapes at Pitch Farm.

Environment & wildlife
The three-acre orchard site is on rolling Herefordshire countryside with picturesque views, surrounded by trees and hedgerows. The cherry trees create an impossibly white blossom backdrop in the spring, an abundance of cherries in the summer and a leafy getaway for much of the rest of the year. Birdlife thrives here, from the smallest nuthatch to buzzards and native red kites.

The cherry orchard is one of the last naturally farmed without the use of poly tunnels and irrigation, as a result the cherries are the sweetest and most natural. The spaces themselves are fuelled with renewable mains power or by wood burning stoves using wood from the orchard or local sources.
